My name is Talene Jermakian and I’m a senior journalism major at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. I enjoy writing and learning about the new developments in writing and technology, which is one of the main reasons why I’m attracted to this field. There’s never a dull moment, and there are always new and evolving ways to deliver news. One of my main interests in the field is photojournalism and I hope to incorporate that into my career after school. I enjoy traveling, having studied abroad in Paris last Spring, and feel that it’s an entirely different education than what can be taught in a classroom.
I’m currently focusing on the multimedia and photojournalism aspects of the field and learning more about the online world, which is of course the new face of journalism.
